About me
Like most people I know, I grew up in a family with few relationships - DOESN'T TRANSLATE WELL, NEED TO REWORD. So did my parents, and theirs before them. They were nurtured physically and sometimes mentally, but hardly emotionally. So they were able to grow up functionally on the outside, but not emotionally. They learned professions, worked and started our family. Inwardly, however, they remained neglected children who needed love but could only give it to a very limited extent.
I realized very early on as a child that my parents didn't really notice me, didn't know me and didn't recognize my needs. I decided to grow up as quickly as possible in order to escape the loneliness of isolation and humiliating heteronomy that I experienced at home.
When I left home at 15, however, the freedom I longed for brought no fulfillment but desperate disorientation.
Unlike my parents, I didn't have the opportunity to compensate for my inner emptiness and there was only one way for me: the search for healing of my soul.
This led me into the field of holistic therapeutic methods, which inspired and fascinated me. I discovered that I myself was made for this work. My own process of becoming whole was and is the core of my work. Because of this, I can understand what the countless people who share my fate are missing and what they need in order to grow and thrive.
Curriculum vitae
I was born in Rotterdam, grew up in Nijmegen and moved to Düsseldorf in 1984, where I started my training as a therapist.
I have always been a person with a wide range of interests and my CV is quite adventurous, of course also due to my own history. Listing all the different schools I attended would go beyond the scope of this article ;-). Suffice it to say that I made it to the Abitur via many paths and detours. Instead of going to university, I developed a wide range of skills through unconventional training and courses as well as self-taught methods.
